Wow, that will be a long drive with a jet ski attached :o) You'll need to take I-84 west to exit 30 in PA, PA route 402 toward Blooming Grove. Turn right to PA-402 (signs to Honesdale and Hawley) and follow it to US-6 (about 5 miles). Turn left to US-6 and go for another 3-4 miles (you'll go along the lake, then some shopping areas and reach traffic light at intersection with Rt-590. Turn left to Rt-590 towards Hamlin and go about 1 mile. You need first left off of 590. Once you turn, you'll see parking lot, launching area and all.
The launching area is free for everyone's use, but PPL (the company that owns the lake) requires every operator of a jetski to obtain boating permit (http://www.boat-ed.com/Pennsylvania/index.html - you can complete the course online and take the test, total cost is $45, worth it anyway)
wow, thats awesome, such detailed directions. We dont really have a jetski, i was hoping to find a place where we can rent it. Apparently nowhere in NY state there is a jetski rental, only Lake George, but its 3 hour ride...
We spend a lot of time on Harriman park lakes. Its convinient since it is about 5 min away from my house, but what a gorgeous place! I believe its about 30 min drive from the city north on Palisades Pkwy.
